Gregory I. Mack, Ph.D. is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist with specialty training in forensic psychology and a retired "20 year veteran" Detective and Police Psychologist from the New York City Police Department.
Dr. Mack served as Program Manager/Supervisory Psychologist for the FDR/Montrose
Veterans Hospital Substance Abuse Residential Treatment Program (SARTP) and as
a Staff Psychologist on the Residential Posttraumatic Stress Unit. He was also
employed as a New York City Transit Authority Conductor and Train Operator.
Dr. Mack specializes in treating police officers and public safety personnel who are suffering from the effects of their dedicated service and provides a range of clinical services in his private practice. Virtual offices are located throughout Westchester County including Harrison and Mt. Kisco, NY.
Consultancy services are also provided to various forensic and law enforcement organizations. I have extensive experience conducting fitness-for-duty evaluations, critical incident stress debriefing for officers involved in traumatic and life threatening incidents, psychological assessments and pre-employment psychological screening evaluations of public safety candidates.
The emphasis of my practice is on providing law enforcement officers and other public safety personnel who have been diagnosed with Post traumatic Stress Disorder with Exposure-based and Supportive group psychotherapy. Individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services are also available to the general public as well.
